Membership
Club membership is open to anyone interested in gardening and upholding the objectives of the organization. Guests may attend two club meetings to experience the programs, get acquainted with members and determine whether they wish to join. Upon payment of dues, a new member receives a club yearbook and a copy of the by-laws.
Benefits of Membership
- We learn about gardening, horticulture, conservation, environmental studies, and floral design through hands-on workshops, speakers, and garden visits.
- We share our gardening knowledge with each other and the community.
- We plant and maintain the Meridian Historical Village gardens as well as other community gardens.
- We sponsor educational opportunities for youth.
- We further develop leadership skills, compete for grants, and receive awards for projects.
Responsibilities of Membership
Active membership in the club is encouraged. Members are those interested in the purposes for which this club is formed and are expected to attend meetings regularly, take responsibility for club duties, and participate in club activities.
